[Case Study] Reduction of Fluorine in Metal Surface Treatment Industry <Aichi Prefecture>
A case where the fluoride concentration in treated water was reduced from 9.5 mg/L to 2.0 mg/L.
We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of "fluorine reduction agents" in the metal surface treatment industry. During measurements with a fluorine ion concentration meter, the levels were within the standard values, but when analyzed, it was found to exceed the standards, which was a problem. After the introduction, the fluorine concentration in the treated water was reduced from 9.5 mg/L to 2.0 mg/L, and the only additional equipment required was a tank with a stirrer and a dosing pump that were kept as spares. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issues - Fluorine complexes are present in the wastewater. - We want to achieve the target standard values by reviewing chemicals and treatment flow without making capital investments. ■ Proposal - Consideration of the reduction effect of fluorine by introducing fluorine treatment agents. - Set the target value for total fluorine (Total-F) to below 8 ppm instead of free fluorine (Free-F). *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
